When I Live My Life Over Again

Cast: Christopher Walken, Amber Heard, Oliver Platt, Ann Magnuson, Hamish Linklater

Run Time: 98 minutes USA Language: English

Synopsis

Christopher Walken plays Paul Lombard, a Sinatra-style crooner eager to regain the celebrity status he once held. His ambition is boundless, unlike his daughter Jude (Amber Heard), who has inherited her father’s talent but not his drive. Evicted from her New York apartment, Jude heads back home to the Hamptons, and back into the tense and tangled relationships with her father, younger sister, brother-in-law, and stepmother, the latest in her father’s string of cheated wives.

On the surface, When I Live My Life Over Again is a showbiz family dramedy about fame, chance and ambition. On a deeper level, however, this is a film about the enduring bonds of family, love under tortured circumstances and the point at which you can no longer blame your parents for the choices you make in life.
