Parking in the underground Theatre District garage – best entrance is # 7 on Texas Ave between Smith and Louisiana St right across the street from the Alley Theatre. Before 4:00 PM MON-FRI, please collect a WHITE ticket from the ticket machine and take it with you to the Sundance Cinemas box office for validation. After 4:00 PM MON-FRI and all day SAT-SUN, an attendant will charge an EVENT PARKING fee of $7, and give you a BLUE event parking ticket. You MUST bring the BLUE event parking ticket with you to the Sundance Cinemas box office for reimbursement. WHITE tickets are validated with a three-hour sticker. BLUE tickets are exchanged for a full reimbursement of the $7 and an exit voucher, which will be your ticket to leave the garage. Without the exit voucher, Republic Parking will charge a “lost ticket fee” of $12. Do not lose the exit voucher. Event BLUE tickets have no time limit. Located directly east of the Beck and Law buildings, the MFAH Visitors Center at 5600 Fannin features a four-story covered parking garage. The easy-to-find parking entrance is at 1144 Binz Street, marked by a large, yellow arrow. You’re always protected from the elements when you park your car in the MFAH garage. From there, you can go to the Visitors Center lobby and find a ticketing desk and up-to-the minute Museum information. As an added convenience, you can enter the Beck and Law buildings from the Visitors Center through security-monitored, climate-controlled tunnels connecting all three buildings.

Visitor lot parking is a flat fee of $7 regardless of the length of time. The entrance to Visitor Parking must be made off Girard Street at the northwest corner of the campus. The visitor parking lot is located beneath the Academic Building. When entering the visitor lot, press the button to receive an entry ticket. Before returning to your vehicle, you must pay for your parking at the centralized pay station which accepts cash, coins and credit cards. As you leave the visitor lot, use your paid ticket as an exit ticket. Also, credit card payment is accepted at the exit reader.
